The Currey Award 2016

The Currey Award ceremony for 2016 Took place on Thursday 23 March 2017 at the Rhodes Centre, Bishop's Stortford. The award highlighted some of the best development projects that have taken place in the town during 2016.

Each of the five projects has contributed to the enhancement of the town, and it is by highlighting features such as the best use of materials, sympathetic architectural detailing and imaginative use of open spaces that we hope to encourage the continual raising of design standards in the future.

The Winner - Red Close (site of the former Red Cow public house)

The winner was the redevelopment of the Red Cow public house as homes and offices.


Special Commendation - the front redevelopment of the former Pearsons store

A special commendation was awarded to the front redevelopment of the former Pearsons store.
