The Currey Award 2006

The Winner

The results of the Currey Award 2006 were announced at a presentation ceremony held on 30 November 2006 at the Charis Centre. Chairman of the judging panel, local architect John Clarke, discussed the conclusions of the panel on each of the five nominations before announcing that the winner was The Ferguson Building at Bishop’s Stortford College which stands on the site of what had been a builder’s yard. The judges particularly liked the fine architectural detailing and the blending in of the brickwork with the adjoining buildings.
