Letter to Uttlesford District Council in which the Bishop's Stortford Town Council expresses its support for the objections of Elsenham and Henham Parish Councils to the proposed huge housing development proposed to the land north east of Elsenham.

23 Sep: Correspondence between BSCF and Cllr Ashley on Henderson planning decision Replies! 30 Sep and 10 Oct 11
Correspondence between the BSCF and Cllr William Ashley, chairman of East Herts County's Development Control Committee. The letters refer to the meeting of the Development Control Commmittee on 25 August which debated, and voted on, the Henderson Causeway development application. The BSCF maintain that the decision should be revoked. The second BSCF letter of 18 October notified Cllr Ashley that the BSCF intended to seek a judicial review of the planning decision.
20 Sep: Complaint against conduct of Mike Tindale
Letter from BSCF President, Michael Hurford, to EHDC's Deputy Monitoring Ofiicer, Jeff Hughes. The letter is a complaint againt the conduct of Councillor Mike Tindale who spoke at the Development Control Committee public meeting held on 25 August 2011.
8 Sep: Letter to Rt Hon Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government
This letter from the BSCF requests the Secretary of State to call in the Causeway planning application. The Secretary of State has reserve powers to direct the local planning authority (East Herts District Council in this case) to refer an application to him/her for decision. This is what is meant by calling in a planning application.

Letter and email from a Stortford resident and parent to Eric Pickles (Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government). The letter cites previous disastrous developments in the town and gives reasons why the schools super-school proposal should not go ahead.
